Patrick Barkham - The Swimmer: The Wild Life of Rodger Deakin event.  

The Swimmer: The Wild Life of Roger Deakin is a biography of the acclaimed nature writer Roger Deakin by Patrick Barkham.   Barkham's biography draws on Deakin's own writings, as well as interviews with friends, family, and colleagues, to create a vivid and multifaceted portrait of a remarkable man. The Swimmer is a celebration of Deakin's life and work, and a reminder of the power of nature to inspire and enrich our lives.  

Patrick will be here at Pensthorpe giving a talk about his new book, followed by a Q & A with Nick Acheson.
